Your Rights

Your Rights

You have the right to dignity, privacy, choice, safety and to be heard. Learn what to expect from Bright Heart Co, how we protect your rights and how to speak up if something is not right. You can involve an advocate, family member or trusted person at any time, and you will not be treated unfairly for asking questions.

Your Rights

NDIS participant rights should remain visible in everyday support

NDIS participant rights include dignity, privacy, choice, consent, accessible communication and safe service delivery. These rights should be visible in everyday support, not only when something goes wrong. This page explains those rights in practical terms and shows the feedback, complaint and external pathways available when a concern is not resolved. Read how to give feedback or make a complaint, including options for independent help.

Rights in practice

What it can look like

Rights in everyday support

For example, you can ask for a different worker, decide who receives information about you and raise a concern at any time without being treated unfairly. Any necessary support changes should be discussed and explained.

  1. 1 Choose who supports you
  2. 2 Decide what is shared
  3. 3 Speak up safely

Example only. The right arrangement depends on the participant’s goals, circumstances, funding where relevant, suitability, availability and what Bright Heart Co can confirm.

Your choices

Your communication and choices

You may prefer written information, more time, a chosen supporter or a different way of communicating.

Ask about the options before agreeing to an arrangement. A participant’s preferences should remain visible throughout planning and review.

Tell the team what makes information easier to understand and what helps you feel comfortable participating in decisions.

Our promise
