Group & Centre Activities

Small-group and centre-based activities where people can make friends, share interests and try something new in a relaxed, welcoming setting, with support that respects each person’s goals and pace. Activities are shaped by what members enjoy, and you can discuss joining, taking a break or changing groups, subject to availability and agreed arrangements.

Group & Centre Activities

NDIS group activities in Brisbane for connection, confidence and choice

Group and centre activities in Brisbane should leave room for different goals, communication styles, sensory needs, interests and preferred pace. Individual choice remains important within shared activities, so participation can reflect each person’s interests and goals. Explore community participation or get support to discuss availability. Before joining, ask about current sessions, accessibility, transport and activity costs; see our funding and fees guide.

What good looks like

Signs group activities are working for you

You feel welcome

Introductions and support help you settle in. We can discuss group size, access needs and what helps you feel comfortable before the first session.

Your goals count

Group time still supports what you want to achieve. Activities can build confidence, communication, routines or community connection.

Choice to change

You can switch activities or stop if it is not working. Please let us know what needs to change and we can review the plan with you.

What it can look like

What a group day can look like

For example, a small group might meet for a cooking session, share lunch and then spend time on a creative project. Workers help people join in, try new activities and become familiar with each other at a comfortable pace.

  1. 1 Small, welcoming groups
  2. 2 Activities with a purpose
  3. 3 Support to join in comfortably

Example only. The right arrangement depends on the participant’s goals, circumstances, funding where relevant, suitability, availability and what Bright Heart Co can confirm.
