This participant hub brings together the practical information people often need before and during a support relationship: getting started, rights, service agreements, NDIS plan context, feedback, complaints and concerns. What it can look like

Finding your way around

For example, someone new to the NDIS might start with Getting Started, read Using Your NDIS Plan before their first conversation and keep the Your Rights page handy for later.

  1. 1 Start with the basics
  2. 2 Prepare before you speak with us
  3. 3 Know your rights from day one

Example only. The right arrangement depends on the participant’s goals, circumstances, funding where relevant, suitability, availability and what Bright Heart Co can confirm.

Good to know

Your choices, funding and availability

01

Participants: your choices

Tell the team what makes information easier to understand and what helps you feel comfortable participating in decisions.

You may prefer written information, more time, a chosen supporter or a different way of communicating. Ask about the options before agreeing to an arrangement. A participant’s preferences should remain visible throughout planning and review.

Participants: scope, funding and availability

A service description does not confirm that the support is funded or available for a particular person.

The proposed support needs to fit the participant’s plan, the agreed service scope and the provider’s current capacity. Ask how charges, travel, scheduling and cancellations will be handled. Confirm the arrangement before booking or making a commitment.

Our promise

What you can expect

You understand the agreement

Services, costs and responsibilities are clear before you sign. You can ask questions, take time and involve a trusted person before agreeing. Participants can ask for an explanation of each charge, when invoices are issued and how to change or cancel support. Keep a copy of the agreement so you can refer to it later.

You know your rights

You can use them without fear. Information should be available in a way you can understand and use. Participants can ask how consent is recorded, who receives their information and how to update their preferences. You can discuss these questions with a trusted person before making a decision.

You can speak up

Giving feedback or making a complaint is easy and safe. You can raise concerns directly, with support, or through an independent external pathway. Write down what happened, what response you need and your preferred contact method. Ask who will handle the concern and how you will be kept informed. Keep relevant messages for your own records.
